The function of the S-B-S Shop is to provide a clearinghouse venue that gives members a place to list unused or barely used items for distribution within the BBA community. For instance, perhaps you have a cash register that you no longer use. You would list this on the BBA website as being for sale or trade for something of similar value. Another use of the S-B-S would be to borrow items that members have listed as willing to loan to another BBA member. As an example, one member mentioned that she has several extension cords that are only used by her once a year and would be available most any other time. The effect and purpose would be to lessen your out-of-pocket investments when you can trade your unused item for something that you can use. Borrowing items will eliminate purchasing items that you may only use once or twice. Individual BBA members would work out their own agreements for exchanging or borrowing items. The BBA will list the items on the website as a service to its members and not require payment to list these items. Of course, the items you list should have a business relevance of interest to other business owners so please avoid “white elephant” or “household” types of items that would be better disposed of in a garage sale.
