On June 3, 2025, The Bath Business Association held its monthly meeting, but this meeting was something special. It was held at one of our long time member locations, Micheal’s Workshop, and attendees were offered a tour of the Workshop and recently restored Carriage Barn as well as treated with light refreshments. As interesting as the tours were, the highlights were the announcements.

First, the Bath Business Association President, Mr. Jim Warzlow, introduced Mr. Bill Snow, Scholarship Committee Chair, and they announced the winner of the annual Bath Business Association Scholarship. Mr. Snow stated the Scholarship Committee met and reviewed the applications and conducted in-person interviews. With that in view, the Committee voted to respectfully recommend the board officers vote in favor of awarding the $500.00 scholarship to Ms. Chloe Broholm, which was wholeheartedly approved. Ms. Broholm, resident of Bath Township and a graduating Senior at Walsh Jesuit High School, has been accepted into the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Mr. Snow stated she expressed a clear vision for her future, with goals that align with both the spirit of this scholarship and the broader mission of our organization: to support young individuals who strive to make meaningful contributions to our community through education and professional development. Mr. Snow concluded, “I am confident that this scholarship will provide for her university studies and serve as both practical support and a symbol of encouragement as she embarks on this important next step in her business career.”

Then, Mr. Warzlow introduced Mr. Mike Ackermann, owner of Michael’s Workshop and the host for the event and congratulated him on twenty years in business. Mr. Ackermann, in his remarks, reflected on the hard work, good and bad times over the past 20 years of working in the community and expressed his deepest gratitude to the Bath Business Association for its invaluable support. Through the Association’s network and exposure, Michael’s Workshop has secured numerous projects totaling over $100,000. Mr. Ackermann added, “More than just a business connection, the Association has given us the opportunity to participate in community events, engage with fellow entrepreneurs, and build lasting relationships with other small businesses.”
