Locally-owned refill shop thanks community with anniversary event full of gratitude, giveaways, and green living

The Fillery House, Akron’s women-owned refill shop dedicated to making sustainable living simple, is celebrating its 1-year anniversary on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, with a heartfelt celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its West Akron location.

The event will feature fun-door prizes and light refreshments, all as a thank-you to the community that has supported The Fillery House since its doors first opened last summer.

"This past year has been full of learning, and so much gratitude," said Heather Pasket, founder of The Fillery House. "We opened this store to make sustainability more approachable and easier—and it’s our amazing customers who have made that vision come to life."

From refillable non-toxic soaps and cleaners to workshops and gifts for every occasion, The Fillery House offers earth-friendly solutions in reusable containers that are sanitized and returned again and again—helping reduce single-use plastics one refill at a time.

As a women-owned small business with a mission rooted in community and care for the planet, The Fillery House invites customers, neighbors, and curious newcomers to stop by, celebrate, and take part in this milestone moment.
